So i have i54460 i know that getting z series is kind of useless with locked cpu but idk...Graphics card will be Asus geforce strix gtx 970.Will this motherboard run well those components without much of performance loss?Cause i kind of ordered this motheroard already,also i don't know much about motherboards been already looking for them over 4 days...Also my wallet isn't that big to to afford expensive motherboard sadly
))

So the question really is:
1.Will it run well?

Motherboard shouldn't affect your performance at all. In fairness you'll see no difference between a H97 and Z97 motherboard using identical components. Maybe in a 0.0x% range in terms of difference. But with a locked CPU, it won't magically perform worse or better.

Just like @RCoon said your not going to get any additional gaming performance especially using a locked multiplier CPU on a Z97 or H97 board. The only differences will really be features, audio chip, or the amount of PCIE (Among other things) so I would not worry. The Anniversary is a fine board but its mostly designed for overclocking a Pentium G3258 processor (I mean its not restricted on chips just was more meant for that chip) but you can put your chip with that motherboard. I would say though look for an H97 maybe with some better audio chips and maybe a few other features instead of looking at a Z97 so you can get more bang for your system.

Well, I have no experience with the 9 series but, for example, when I had my i5-2320 on a Z77 board I could increase the maximum turbo to 3.4Ghz across all cores (which was 100Mhz above the maximum turbo clock on a single core), on a B75 board I can only get it to 3.1Ghz across all cores and on my older H61 board I couldn't increase the clock at all.

Note that this "overclocking" is limited by Intel's Turbo Boost meaning that it's not a set speed but rather the maximum your CPU will run as long as it falls under its thermal and power envelope.

There are a few Z97 boards that are priced around the same as a decent H97 that afford that flexibility for future unlocked CPU upgrades..... I did the same, my board for example or the Giga Z97 DS3 is another decent option.
