I want to build a new PC. I'm use to doing live streaming nd play so many games.
I find that this mobo features the capture card which is included. But I dont know what's the difference if there is a capture card or not. Is it equal to have another video card? And worth buying?
I have that specific motherboard with a 5930K and I can tell you a couple things about it:
For starters, if your wanting to run up to Quad-SLI/CFX this motherboard has guaranteed support which would mean it would be better to mix one of the higher chips (5930K or 5960X) so you can take advantage of the extra lanes. The board is also pretty big in general so make sure you have a case that supports E-ATX boards.
As far as the stream goes with this board I have only tested it 2 times now and all I can say is that it works exactly as described. No drop in performance and it recorded nicely what I was playing without dips or skipping and with decent quality. So if you are after something like that its going to do exactly what your expecting but it may not be worth the extra money over the Gaming 7 motherboard especially if your not planning on adding many cards.
The gaming 7 and 9 board are very similar and besides the form factor, the stream engine, and the fact no "Armor" is present covering the top of the usb's and audio area the boards have the same basic feature sets.
I would say if your just thinking about this board because of the capture card but do not plan on utilizing some of the other aspects then you might be better off with the cheaper one. I love this board and its my favorite board I have ever owned, but its not something that is worth going for just for the capture card/Stream engine so just make sure to think about what your wanting to do before buying it.
