    Here's a quote from DFI's Web Site:

So basically, whether I run a single card, or dual cards, both slots will operate at 8x (Gen. 2.0).

I am playing games at 1920x1080 through a DVI > HDMI dongle with maxed AA and AF. I'm wondering if the 4870 1GB is being bottlenecked by the PCI-Express bandwidth, and if so, whether a 4830/4850 1GB would be as well. I may be better off with dual 4830 1GBs...

    Thanks,
    DD

No bottleneck, 5% at most. Most bottlenecks are noticable in benchmarks only.

    I wouldn't call it a bottleneck necessarily.
IE a GTX295 will take a 5% hit just as well as a 4870, but common knowledge tells us the GTX295 has close to double the bandwidth of the 4870.
