Is the Vision Cam or VGA HD Cable worth it?

I just got a $100 Gift Card to Best Buy, and I was planning to buy several things.

A game that I finalized my decision on is Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, I'm getting it for sure.

But, there will be another $40 left, and I can either buy the Xbox Vision Camera or the Xbox VGA HD Cable. My Samsung HL-R5078W will accept 1920x1080 @ 60Hz (Progressive) through VGA, but not component. So, would it be worth it if I bought this cable, and played games at 1080p, or is there not much of a difference between 1080i or 1080p? I keep hearing these arguments that there's no difference if your screen is smaller than 60" (which mine is 50" thanks to the limitations of in-wall shelves). So, would it be worth it? Just for games, since I won't get the HD DVD for a few months or so...

And then again, the Xbox 360 Vision Camera. Just came out a few months ago, and it seems pretty nifty doubling as a PC Webcam as well, but not many games support it yet...only UNO, Totemball, and putting your face on Rainbow Six Vegas. That's about it. I also don't know any friends or relatives/cousins with the Xbox 360 Vision Camera, so Video Chat won't be used much by me yet...

Both of these items have Pros and Cons, for me at least, but I'm still stuck in choosing between the two.

    Thanks,
    Azn Tr14dz

I'd go with the VGA cable's, Really all your getting with 1080p over 1080i is progressive scan.... since none of the games out natively support 1080p its not gonna make much if any difference in IQ, but you may as well be ready for the future. When you get the HD-DVD player you'll be in heaven :D I absolutely love mine on my 1080i set :D Also you cant go wrong with RB 6 Vegas, very very very fun game! A friend of mine has the vision camera and its pretty cool but unless you have alot of friends with one they are kinda useless..... Happy gaming :rockout:

If your TV can only output 1080p with the VGA cable then its an easy choice :toast:

With $40 extra, I would get a game or something.

Hmm...Rainbow Six Vegas is on sale, $44.99, gives me an extra $55 to spend...maybe the cables and an extra rechargeable battery?

No, no need for it. It voids the warranty, and I placed my Xbox 360 outside of my shelf, out in the open so it's way cooler.
