Where do you live and what store are you buying from? If we know that we might be able to help you better.

Nothing wrong with that build, but at some places Intel i5's cost as much as that CPU and on the whole the Intel CPU's are the better buy. Here 1600Mhz, or even faster, memory is generally less than 1333Mhz memory. That PSU is ok, but there might be better for the same money.

Well I looked through the website at some of the deals and can make a few alternative suggestions just so you have some variety to look at:

Case: Same you selected
Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC Mate
CPU: i5 4690K (If you do not overclock save some money on the locked variant)
Cooler: Hyper 212
Ram: Corsair 8gb 2x4gb 1600
PSU: Corsair CX600
GPU: MSI R9 290X Lightning or MSI R9 390 8gb or Zotac GTX 970

That goes a little above your budget at around 950, however you can of course swap a few things to lower variants (Like for instance if you do not overclock, buy the locked i5 and get rid of the Hyper 212). Hope that can at least give you some food for thought!

I like the Intel build. I built one almost identical to that in a H440 case. My regret with that build is that I used a 212 EVO - it just looks wrong with all that black and red. I'd recommend a BeQuiet! CPU cooler (for performance and looks) if you're going to over clock.
Edit: I'm not too thrilled with that case (Zalmon Z11). 80mm fans???? All they do is make noise. I want a gaming case to have at least 2 x 120 mm intake fans. Spending a little more on a case that properly breathes sure prevents headaches latter.

Terribly overpriced for what it is imo, Corsair tends to be that these days. You get a Super Flower Golden Green 550W for less. The CM G550M is a solid unit but honestly at that power level I think it's a bit of a waste to have it modular (I'm using all the modular cables in my anemic system). If I was in the OP's shoes I'd go for that Intel build and .... huh, when looking around at that power level that CM is a pretty good choice actually. It's a solid unit.

If the red+black thing is important absolutely get these, and you're pretty much stuck with the MSI Z97 Gaming or Asus Maximus VII Ranger. I have no idea which one is better, but the MSI looks better IMO and will look nice with that G-Skill kit.... But them Ripjaws might look even better.
