Is UDMA/100 compatible with ATA/100???

Help me out guys. A freind has a Dell Inspirion 1000 laptop that has a fubar'd HD. It's a toshiba ATA/100 4200rpm 2.5" and I can only find UDMA/100 drives to replace it. Will I have any compatibility issues using the UDMA drive?

Basically, ATA100 and UDMA100 (UDMA mode 5) are the same is how I read it.
