Just closed on my new house today at noon. (Technically yesterday, but I haven't been to bed yet, so it's still today for me. lol)

4 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, 3 story, with a full basement and a 1 car attached garage. Moving in this weekend. I'm stoked.

Been working 2 jobs to get the money together, and it's nice to finally see the payoff.

lol. I know how you feel. I turned 30 in Jan. I didn't think it would've happened by now. If it wasn't for this great woman by my side, it wouldn't have happened. She keeps me in line. (Well, except for my computer habit)

Funny thing is, we weren't even considering it until about 3 months ago. We were looking for houses to rent, as the lease on our apartment is up on the 1st of Jan. While looking around, we realized it's a buyer's market in our area right now. Houses are consistently going well under their value. We got our house for $79k, but it's valued at $95k. Couple that with a fixed 6% APR, and we couldn't pass it up.

    Hey, congrats Wile E!

Maybe you can use the garage to store a MOPAR! lol. That was merely a joke about your post in my mopar thread.

But seriously, that's a killer deal you got on that house. :toast:

I remember buying mine, kinda scary and euphoric at the same time. But it has worked out the best for my family, and I know it wil for yours.

    Congrats!!!!!
My parents just recently bought their first house (because of a lot of money poblems in the past, they've oly been able to afford one now and they're nearly 50 years old!), so you're doing well.
Very good price for such a large house (or shall I say home, now under the circumstances), certainly beats UK pricing ($100k is just over £50k, and for that, you'd be pretty hard pressed to find anything available for that price in England, especially near London, and even more so inside it).
Just realised how late this post is, in congrtulating you, heheh.
