That may explain it, a lot of video transcoding. AKA: Converting downloaded files to dvd

Yeah that does explain it. The closest thing i did to encoding was coverting music files from WMA to MP3, or vice versa. There was a difference (about 2-5 seconds per song :p) which didnt matter cus i was only doing like 10 songs :p

my 19" triniton runs 1600x1200 and at that res everything is crisp. then again i have better than 20/20 vision. i would like a nice dell 22inch lcd though :D

Wouldnt we all want one of them :D

working on videos would kill it (sucks ram too)

but FYI, photoshop hasnt been suffering at all on my c2d at stock
photoshop takes about 4 seconds to open and load a 20mb image

and i get no lag running the program when applying brushes/filter/layer apps etc
not yet anyway, i can see it getting slower when i start getting closer to the 4 metre and beyond length for my image though...

Its really only the encoding and stuff that makes the diff :p

ok quick reply, i am bit like :( cause i didnt get the p5b-del-wifi but my comp at stock is fast enough for all my games and apps (its at 2ghz anyway)

i think there would be a slight noticable improvment with a good oc in general use and even more so in video/photo editing none of which i do too much of.

im fed up of looking at this pos time 17" monitor that will only run at 60hz in vista@1280x1024. i like my eyes and want to keep them :p

my mouse suxers ass big time also cause its a cheap optical that always flys off the screen, not good for gaming or even in windows. new keyboard, also for gaming, im using a cheap laptop style one atm and its to small.

5.1 speakers are going to blow these pos desktop stereo speakers away, and compliment my new tft perfectly. in my little computer room watching dvd's and playing games is going to be so much more fun.

so in all i had more to gain from what i bought than the p5b and that pos case (damn what was i thinking :wtf: i was drunk lol )

and in a couple of months because i have everything in my system i need i can think about getting a new mobo, maybe even get a 680i board if the prices have come down. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR INPUT PPL :toast:
