Hey guys, not much on the boards these days cause of school but lately... that feeling is catching up to me... yea, you know that feeling.. it's time to upgrade that graphics card!

This is purely hypothetical and may or may not happen!

Since I'm cheap and like to mess around with my stuff, I'm gonna get a NV 6800LE but that leaves me hanging with a 9550 hanging...

Was wondering if any of you peeps were interested in buying it off me?

It's overclocked to 9600 pro speeds as default and can overclock to 9600xt speeds without a problem. It goes a little over that too. I believe I do hold the record for the highest overclock on the 9550 on the board =)!

Now the nice and shiny thing about this is that it includes a Zalman ZM80+OP1 heatsink and fan that are nicely equiped on it (retail ~$45+).

The brand is Dataland, it's associated with PowerColor somehow in China which I don't know the details about. I've not seen this specific brand outside of China. It was designed specifically by the manufacturer to be overclocked (i think it states it on their website!). I purchased it for about 900RMB which is about $110 about 8 months ago.

So, my question is would anybody be interested and offers? Please keep in mind that it's not confirmed that I'm gonna get rid of this yet unless I get a 6800LE =)

    dude, think about the possibilities!!!!

    you got the FASTEST 9550!!!!!

And if you don't just put your card on the fast possible settings,
and let it run 3dmark03 with a way to high mem/core setting.
Don't mind the artifacts that are showing!
Make sure your PC is totally cold before running 3dmark.

just put it on ebay, and clearly state that it is the best 9550 ever
    OR
    sell it as an 9600XT:D
Try finding out what place you are on the ladder for 9600XT,
if you are in the top20, use that also as selling-boost.

"Fastest legimated 9550 in the world on sale!!!"
    -> This is an 9550 modded to..blabla
-> I've not seen this specific brand outside of China. It was designed specifically by the manufacturer to be overclocked!
-> The score is legimated with 3dmark03(05?)

hell, expect to get 150bucks or more for it.
try describing it as an COLLETERS-ITEM

    OR

    "Super optimized 9600PRO/XT"

Just let the creativity run free m8!
even better, let some friends bid on it, so there will be a big bid-list
with a lot of different names bidding on it.

    Then tell them to stop@220
believe me that the bidding will go up.

then get that nice 6800LE for 230:D

edit: I just saw that with that score, you are on 5th place for 3dmark03,
and 3th for 3d05 in the world!
    the best(03) using this version:
    RADEON 9550 (Omega 2.6.05a)

Try using that driver, and OC beyond your limit. I see other 9600 top users also using that driver.
Then run 3dmark03 again, new version!!!!!!! so download that FIRST before benching.
and don't forget to max your FBS to:)

I see that you even outrun modded 9600XT's

so try aiming for what a modded 9600XT would cost with such a good colling.

    www.futuremark.com

    -> ORB

in fact, right now, your card is in the top20 of 9600XT's

as to why, well, easy. 3dmark releases way to much new versions, and older benchmarks are neglected, only the new ones count:D

fact is that currently, you are the 3th fastest 9550 in the world with 3dmark05
(the first not counting, because he cheated, he got a score of 6000!!! and his FPS don't fit and such)

So bear me when I say that if you OC over your limit, with that driver I posted, you can get 2nd or first for 3dmark05/03

and tbh, if you sell the fastest 9550 in the world....:D

well, i'm thinking about buying a 6800le today... looking at zipzoomfly.com, anyone use them before and what are your experiences with them? i've only used newegg up to this point but i want to try another vendor.

    edit...

actually, i looked around newegg and saw that the eVGA 6800 is only $10 more and I think I'm gonna go with this: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-130-202&depa=1

this is 6800 le i'm interested in: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=322717&affiliate=pricegrabber

Now I"m really torn between the two =/

hmmm, for 10 bucks, you are safe to have a good preformance, but the 6800LE has 256RAM. the LE got 2.5ns, prolly the NU has the same, but try to findout if it is so.
If the NU has a lower ns, take that.

tbh, from your LE you'll be able to make an NU at least, but will you be able to make an GT from that NU....

SO if you like to gamble, take the LE, it got more RAM, and perhaps can be
    OC'd to an GT(with DDR1 ofc)
If you want to play safe, the 128MB NU is the way to go.

Well I ordered the 6800LE, will let you guys know what I think of it, I'm personally a ATI fan but this thing just has me so intrigued with it's potential =)

If I'm happy with the 6800LE, that means my 9550 will be up for grabs...

Well, i got my 6800 LE... for some reason, my desktop is really graphically corrupted... it seems like bad drivers or such because different versions give me different results but none of them are working perfectly. I tried 3dmark03/05 and I saw x2 increase in scores and the graphics look correct on that as well as a few games I tried out... It's just the desktop (and desktop related apps) that are the problem... Hopefully, this is only because I had ATI drivers before and there just a few conflicts and a format will do the trick (i'm on my laptop right now)... I really really hope the card isn't defective.. I don't want to have to wait a week for it to come again...

I'm using RivaTuner to see how many pipes I can unlock... wish me luck.. if anybody has any insight to the problem about the graphic corruption, please tell me. Also, will I know if the pipes were successfully unlocked simply by seeing if it boots up or can there be possible corruption through extended usage in a game?

The graphical glitching seems to happen with WinXP SP2 and the NV drivers... has anyone else had this problem?
