After reading the review here iam a bit concerned about the *soft* teflon feet of the lachesis and the side buttons, which seem to be a bit reluctant to key presses. Still 25% more dpi is pretty much, what would you choose ??

I think you should give a try at G9 because 25% More DPI? WTF?
2000 is already far more than enough , why should you need 4000?

BTW I think you should need to give a shot at Ikari , Review says it's :respect:
    Scheich says thanks.

I am still on a mx 510 with only 800 dpi and its barely a match for my old ball mouse :shadedshu

I guess with that kind of dpi my turning rate will increase greatly and maybe i can up
the res to 1280 without much precision loss.

The 510 is still a nice mouse, i didnt thought i would have to enter a dpi race, but it
seems that 2000 dpi is standard now and 4000 would give a real edge in shooters.

DPI means nothing, well, almost nothing. If you're a hardcore razer fan, then go with the Lachesis, but if you want a good gaming mouse go with ms ime 3.0 or mx518 or Deathadder or g9 or, like Atz said, Ikari.

Mainly only Razer fans are satisfied with that mouse, other people disliked that mouse. Check out gotfrag forums, there are some discussions.

    Edit:
800dpi is more than enough to play at resolutions up to 3000*2000 (just guessing :D), because 400dpi is fine for gaming up to 1280*1024.
    Scheich says thanks.

Lachesis is too good to pass up I say get the lachesis, just because its 4000 dpi doesnt mean you have to use it.... you can always make it 2000 or 800 I bought it only because it tracks more

Well, I've only used my Copperhead (1st gaming mouse) & I have to say that it is pretty awesome. I do know though that I do go to the highest DPI setting on my mouse, which is 2000, but everyone has preferences.

Just ordered a G9.. The Ikari looks very good, but the wheel problem on such an expensive mouse is inacceptable and the Lachesis.. i didnt found any more reviews, so i suppose thats it, after 2 hours research :)

The G9 did look very nice. The next step for gaming is wireless reliability. When wireless is reliable, then the computer is in for a revolution!

I have a Lachesis and I love it...I'll agree 4000 dpi is a bit too much...I have it set and 2000.

It would seem that the 4000DPI would accommodate a select few. I wish I could try a G5.

I'm playing with Cheap-end "Gaming mouse" with maximum 1000 DPI , 2.0 Sensitivity and I owned you.
