Laptop Died!!!

HEy Guys!

My good-o laptop just took a dump this morning... :confused:

I went to turn the sucker on and ounce it gets to the loading window the screen turns black and I get a blue screen and reboots.

How can I get some important files off the hard drive?

CMD?

I doubt I can't take off the HDD because I don't have a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter!

you will have to get the adapter. The harddrive is probably the only issue that the lappy is having tho.

Or you can get the SATA/IDE to USB adapter! Comes very handy when you need to connect HDD's to another PC!

if it's relatively new the drive may just be sata, then you don't need an adapter. I see more and more sata drives in laptops lately.

If it's only windows that's crapping out, the easiest thing to do is to make a bootable usb stick with some linux distro like puppy linux and copy the stuff to another usb/external drive/burn to dvd

As Digibucc said,if the drive is sata,you dont need a adapter.You can plug the drive into a desktop machine as any other sata hdd.
