I watched Carlito's Way yesterday and it was awesome, very underrated and Al Pacino was excellent in it.

I saw Gran Torino. It was a good movie all the way up until the closing credits: Clint Eastwood sings for the closing song LMFAO

Finishing up Saw V and I must say it's a rip off. I hate it when half the movie is spend recovering the previous movies.

Just watched The Dark Night yesterday and it is amazing!!! I wish I would have watched it earlier.

I'm checking out 2001: A Space Odyssey now and am thoroughly entranced with Krubrick's dark side.

That's lollipops and ferries compared to his dark side. A great movie that one though. Check out A Clockwork Orange and The Shining and perhaps the first half of AI (good movie all around but first half seems more his) if you wanna see him dark.

I just got done dl'ing Clockwork and will be watching soon. AI is great, but 2001 is such a unique movie from a different generation I cant help but glorify it.

EDIT: It's intermission on 2001 here, when was the last movie you watched that had an offical Intermission?

Never had one in the theaters that I can recall. I just watched 2001 again a couple of months ago so that was my most recent w/ an intermission. Only other one that comes to mind with an intermission is Gone With the Wind, which I haven't seen since I was a youngin'.

"Man From Earth." A man tells his friends he is 14,000 years old.

A sci-fi movie with no special effects. No explosions. No car chases.

If you're in the mood for an actual good story, check it out.

I'm intrigued by that one, have to to check it out. Just saw Slumdog Millionaire, cliched but well-done and thoroughly enjoyable. Milk is still my favorite of the year though.

    ("The Man from Earth.")

Yeah, it wasn't until after I saw it that I saw all the good reviews for it. "The best sci-fi story of this decade," etc. I recommend people avoid those reviews, though, so as not to give away the story. I already said the basics, so you know what you're getting: no special-effects, no explosions, no car chases, an intriguing story that may stick with you for a long time after. If you're in the mood for a shoot-em-up or giant robots, watch this one another time. It's a nice a change of pace from all the usual brain-mushing crap out there.

Speaking of brain-mushing movies, the last movie I saw was the new Friday the 13th. Not sure why I thought there'd be anything better than slightly amusing in it. You already know the entire plot before it even starts. It's got Jared Padelecki in it, so if you like him on "Supernatural," (which you should, because it's a good show), stick to watching "Supernatural," (which you should, because it's a good show.)
