It seems that Seagate’s Alvin Cox, who was part of a presentation to the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC), gave a presentation that shows solid state drives can lose data over time if they aren’t powered on, especially in warmer environments.
The presentation, also, offers other interesting info on endurance/workloads.
Remember to keep backups of any data you want to keep or deem as necessary.
