Lexar, a leading global brand of flash memory products, today announced the JumpDrive Triton USB 3.0 flash drive. Available in 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB capacities, the new JumpDrive Triton is more than 20 times faster than standard USB 2.0 flash drives based on benchmark tests, offering blazing-fast 155 MB per second read and 150 MB per second write speeds for exceptionally fast and reliable downloading and transferring of content.

In real-world usage, the JumpDrive Triton takes just 35 seconds to copy a 4 GB high-definition (HD) movie, compared to 11 minutes of waiting time with a standard JumpDrive USB 2.0 flash drive. Additionally, its compact form factor makes it one of the smallest high-performance USB 3.0 drives on the market, enabling users to manage, move, and store their content quickly and efficiently while on the go. The Lexar JumpDrive Triton also features a sleek metal alloy base and a high-gloss mirror finish.

"USB 3.0 technology provides the high-speed performance that allows end-users to download their content – whether it's videos, MP3s, documents, or photos - faster than ever, and take it with them for anytime, immediate access," said Aaron Lee, director of USB product marketing, Lexar. "The JumpDrive Triton USB 3.0 flash drive combines fast transfer speeds, ultra portability, and an appealing sleek design to provide on-the-go users with one of the fastest, smallest, and most reliable USB 3.0 flash drives available."

As a brand of Micron Technology, Lexar is backed by Micron's industry-leading memory technology, providing consumers with the reliability and award-winning products they have come to expect from Lexar. All Lexar product designs undergo extensive testing in the Lexar Quality Labs to ensure performance, quality, compatibility, and reliability with more than 800 intended digital devices.

In addition to the JumpDrive Triton, Lexar is also introducing the new JumpDrive S73 USB 3.0 flash drive to offer users a wide range of storage options according to their needs. Available in color capacities of 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB, the JumpDrive S73 offers users the same convenience and reliability of existing JumpDrive products, but with the added speed and performance benefits of USB 3.0 technology.

Both new USB 3.0 drive designs are compatible with Mac and PC systems. The JumpDrive Triton USB 3.0 comes with a limited lifetime warranty and is available now in 16 GB and 32 GB capacities at Amazon, NewEgg, and on Lexar.com with MSRPs of $69.99 and $109.99, respectively. The 64 GB JumpDrive Triton will be available in February with an MSRP of $199.99.
