Just a thought must chat room i go to have live chat.
Where people chat and rant about stuff in a live feed.

Not saying TPU is outdated or out but would make a nice change on here i think if we had it.

Then there would be no point to create posts and threads. Everyone would be at the chat, cause it would be faster.

But forums are still superior at discussion. It allows much more people to join the discussion, and see what has already been discussed.

Chat is talk and destroy. There's no history. I won't support that.

    I voted no.
IMO, it would end up being a staging area for nonsense, attitudes, BS, and other hard to control chats that would, also, be a nightmare for the mods.

I believe it was tried about a year or so ago, never keep up with it, so don't where it got to.
I believe it died off from lack of interest/use.:ohwell:

It's been tried a few times and always dies due to lack of interest.

I thought about making a live chat app, but like Erocker said "lack of interest". Plus solving problems thru a IM tool doesn't help anyone searching for answers... cause basically that's why were all here

I thought about it but realised it depends how many people are on at the same time, it could get convoluted if there where lots of simultaneous users on at the same time.
At least with a forum post you can wait for an answer anytime, you dont need to get one instantly.

Sadly the lack of use/interest makes this unviable. Thankfully our forums are quick to respond anyways
