login screens

    is there anyway to stop windows going into the login screen wen i boot up and leave my pc for more then 10mins?i have no password set and im the only user!!

    have the same problem i just formated iut has never done this b4 and iv formated a billoin times iv tried fixing it but no go.

    goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck:rockout:



    edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...

    make sure that box is unchecked "on Resume Show Welcome screen"

    ig you have .NEt Framework installed it goes to the welcome screen everytime not sure why but i think it has something to do with that service making its own account

    Your right....and it sucks...they should ask you if you want to do that not just do it...if you have a modded x8xx ati card then chances are your fans wont function until it loads your profile from atitool or atitooltray, so powering on your pc then walking away from it may damage your card if the fan isnt running....

    ya i deleted it everything is fine i tried turning it off no go and i was sketchy because i wasnt sure it would f things up but its goin allright.

    do you still have to login then.....and if you do is there a pw for you to login..if so then delete the pw and try...

    start>run>control userpasswords2 (exacly as that)>hilite your acount name> uncheck "users must enter a password and user name to logon to this computer">ok>enter your user name if it isnt already i nthe box. and password if you have one.

    as far as .net goes and it forcing the log on screan , well that only happens if you have NOT installed the security patch from MS, if you run windows update then install the security update for .net then .net will not force the log on screan !!!!:toast:
