Posting this for any users of this product.

It is common knowledge that Logitech used a horrible design for the cable on these and it does eventually fail. The signs of this issue are the mouse dropping in/out of power state and all lights/signals stopping. Thankfully the fix is easy enough and can be completed by the majority of end users in a short time and with limited tools. I basically followed this vid and within the hour brought my G9 back to life! Saving myself the unnecessary expense of buying a new mouse :)
