Looking for a 4k 22" computer display. Any recommendations?

Hey folks,

I currently have a triple monitor configuration. They are all 22" (21.5", actual size) 1080p displays. I'm in the market for a 4k display that will take place of my current center monitor. My budget is around $250. I've searched Newegg, TigerDirect, and a few others, but none of them have a 4k display in the 22" form factor. Is there anyone out there that knows of such a display? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

TIA,

grecinos

Dell's P2415Q is a 24" UHD or "4k" monitor, but realize that any text/image below 27" at 4k is very small and requires significant scaling. I'm using a 27" Dell 2715Q 4k monitor right now and I will never go back. It's wonderful.

But it's your choice, and some folks seem pretty happy with the 24" model if you read reviews. Dell really does make excellent IPS 4k monitors. The detail, picture clarity, and sharpness IS INCREDIBLE.

But good luck finding a 22". They don't exist. That really is too small for 4k.

Thanks guys for the quick responses.

hapkiman, I have a 15.6" laptop with a 4k display. I know exactly what you mean in regards to the text being tiny while in 4k mode. I have Windows 10 running on that laptop and the text scales well, for the most part. I guess I was hoping that if they can make a 15.6" 4k display, why not a 22" (stand-a-lone)?

IaEzio, I guess you're right. Prices have dropped significantly since the last time I purchased a new monitor. I guess I was being a bit optimistic about my budget. That Samsung looks real nice! I'm going to search for a review on it. Thanks for the referral.

cheers.

It's a Sager NP8651 laptop. When I bought it earlier this year, they had a 4k matte display option. That's the one I chose. They no longer have that screen available for this particular model, but Sager's new lineup have that option. This is the closest match that I could find:

You are really under budget .. Im sorry to say but 250 is not even close to 4k display. Hell my 1200p Dell u2415 has costed me more then that .
I think this is really the closest thing to what you want

Wow that looks decent and is cheap for a PLS. And 5ms (fast mode) response is ok for gaming.

You are right about the $ though- I paid $600 for mine.
But I still say that's too small for UHD.
