Hey guys, would you know about good software to run a DEEP scan of my system.

I've had system instabillity, and I plan on re-installing W7 to fix it. But I have a feeling the cause is Malware...

I'm lookin for a program that scans:

    - Hard drives
    - Registry
    - .exe files

    You can try this too
    http://escanav.com/english/content/products/MWAV/escan_mwav.asp
It's from a company called eScan which makes normal payware antimalware software but this toolkit is free of charge. Personally used it a lot and helped many computers to get out of an almost unrepairable operating system situation. I am not sure of the false positives this gives out though. While i had Kaspersky on my pc it reported a few files of the av as viruses.. but this might be normal considering two or more antiviruses conflict on the same pc.

It includes registry cleaning and cleans hard drives or individual folders. U can probably set it to clean only exe files though. Had a pc once with a nasty virus taking over every exe on a pc and creating a copycat containing the virus and a few runs with this cleaned it well enough for the system to be recovered and finally reinstalled as after every severe malware infection.

If you're planning on re-installing Windows anyway, then why not go all-out and use Combofix?
