Looking for a laser printer.. 400~ pages a month ?

So what's a good home laser printer with cheap tuners and high workload per tuner ?
I am looking to print maybe 200 pages a month and not worry about the cost of a new tuner ?

There are many laser printers that print thousands of pages per cartridge. If you are printing as much as you say, it would be smart to invest in a laser printer.

HP CLJ 2605 if you need color.

There are probably good off-brand printers out there that are cheap.

I have Brother MFC240 and it does VERY well on ink. Also I purchased like 3 sets of INK 2 years ago for 40$ and I still have some left.

We use a lot of Lexmark E260dn's at work. Duty cycle on these are around 20-30K pages per month, and you can pick one up at Staples for around $150 (less if they're offering a trade-in rebate at the time).

I have been in the IT industry for going on 8 years now. That being said, HP has been my favorite in terms of printers.

that one is reasonably priced for a laser printer.

I don't like HP because I have had issues with the few HP devices we use, and their support and RMA service stinks. One time I had a printer that was not working, and I went 'round and 'round with them through email support, each time getting a different person who was asking questions that were already answered in the email thread, the whole time arguing with me on the warranty period when I was able to prove the purchase was later than what they said. Finally, they pissed away the warranty period and I was stuck with a piece of crap.

Other times when they did honor the warranty, I had to pay them up front to send me a refurb piece of crap.

On top of that, most of the hardware they sell is bundled with software that is bloated with crap to shove their supplies down your throat before you need them, or bundled with other software you never get the option to choose NOT to install, or software you have to install on each PC to use a corporate-level network printer (which is bull).

My vendors call me and tell me they want to talk HP and what HP can do for my company and I tell them to never call me with that crap again, or else they'll lose my business. /endrant

While I would never buy an HP laptop again, I did claim the warranty for a cheap $40 HP inkjet printer for a tenant. The entire process was fairly standard, I filled everything out online and they contacted me via email to work out the rest of the details. They overnighted me/my tenant a refurbed printer and I just shipped the old one back to them on their dime.

You get what you pay for. If you buy the cheapest one you can find, you will get junk.
Spend more on the printer and buy remanufactured toner cartridges to save a lot of money on supplies.
Purchasing non-OEM consumable supplies will not void the warranty (at least in the US).

These are not looked upon highly at my work either. Most of the time these leak out toner and make a mess. I guess you get what you pay for on these, too
