*Note- All set for now- thanks for looking and those who helped us out!!!

    Hi All,

I'm looking for a socket 1156 motherboard and decent psu for a crunching rig that we will be donating as a prize following our WCG Challenge next month.

This rig will be donated by crunchers for crunchers so I'm asking for something decent at a decent price if at all possible

    - Motherboard (pending)
From the research I've done thus far I believe an H55 chipset or better s1156 board will do the job.

    - PSU (donated by BarbaricSoul)
Would prefer 400w and 80plus or better with 2x6pin PCIE connectors but will consider anything decent that can be had for a good price.

*Note- We have all of the other parts in or on the way to make a nice crunching rig for the winner.... just need these two parts to finish it up.

My Heat is under Norton if you want to have a look.

When I bought my 1156 board the prices for used ones were around original retail it would seem. The lowest on amazon I seen was 49.99$ and on ebay for a "working" one would be about the same. It was the same deal when looking for a 1366 motherboard and I paid almost 80$ for a OEM alienware that had bent pins... WHY OLDER HARDWARE SO MUCH PRICE WOW!

If you do not get any offers norton. PM me about my Asus H55

Hmm... probably a little bit too much for this build.

Bump for today- still looking for both items.

The corsair CX500m is $55 shipped with the promo code on Newegg right now, then a $20 MIR making it $35.

If you're interested I do have an Antec 650w Truepower New 80+ bronze (seasonic build, semi modular) that I'd sell for $55 shipped. I would be interested in trades, CPU's boards GPU's ddr3 ram SSD's, just PM me whatever you got. I can add cash if needed.

    Bump for today

*will need to proceed to Plan B if I don't find a good fit by Sunday (2/2)

How much are you looking to spend on a PSU (besides the obvious "as little as possible")?
