I Have 1 more thing to ask, it's about the psu.
I've got these PSU's in mind-
Antec true power 550W
Cooler master Xtremepower 650w
Corsair HX620W
Glacial power 550W

so, which of these could run my setup (given above)
Only a yes or no would be required, pls don't refer others :D, thx :toast:
I'd say none of them. They all only have 18a on the 12v rails.

I know you said no other suggestions, but too bad. :p lol

How about this one?: http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/power_supply/hp-550.asp

the corsair
Why the Corsair? It still only has 18A on the 12v rails.

EDIT: Bah, nix my statement. The Corsair combines rails just like the Mushkin can. 50A combined on the 12v rails. I agree, get the Corsair

EDIT2: I just noticed that the Corsair is $70-100US more than the others, are you sure that's the one you meant, BX?

If your description of the motherboards is true, think about it this way.

You have a Core 2 Duo. Overclocking will shorten product life for imaginary/benchmark benefits only.

Reliability is something you need in a motherboard. If you don't have reliability, it doesn't matter how good your overclock is, your machine will still be unusable.

And so, I voted for the MSI.

thx again, it's a lil pricey, but it's awesome quality caught my eye :)
I think I'll sacrifice the case for now and get that PSU :D

ah, I knew some1 would be intelligent enough to vote that msi board :D
I don't upgrade in short periods of times and can't risk damage to components and msi provides gr8 stability and long life span, also it does some not-that-bad oc'ing. Thx :D
Now I'm more confused, though the situation here indicates me to go for the MSI P6N sli Platinum :)

Hey fellas not trying to hijack this thread but have a similar question. I'm building a C2D system for a friend and being a AMD guy I don't know a thing about C2D. Is there a Asus Core 2 Duo board based off or similar to mine thats a good overclocker. The reason I ask is I love my Asus M2N 32 Deluxe Wireless Edtion SLI AM2 board. P.S The only thing I hate about Asus is this peice of crap Probe II program. As for a great PSU I have a OCZ Game Stream which is silent and stable as hell. If you look around you can find them as low as 79.00 after a rebate. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341001

thx for all your suggestions, (and for the psu tip).
though the purpose of the poll still remains bloated :p
I just needed some more votes in favor of one of the two boards :)
As for the psu the corsair one will suffice me well, thx for that ;)
so, just some more votes and I'm set :D
