my rig is in specs
my videocard got sensors for temps of gpu memory, mem1 and mem2
sometimes(latest games on ultra after 3-4 hours gaming) it's getting 82-84 °C
as i cant get watercooling or heat sink on memory(void guarantee) so i decided to change case(if it makes sense)
if you got a look of better cooling(in my situation) or can advice a right/useful thing - will be awesome
dont wanna change my case, but if needed - i'll change(wanna keep my coolers;main options for case are dust filters)

PS i forgot about 2x80mm fans in doors(1 left, 1 right), they are too loud(even with 7 volts molex), so i dont connect them.

I'd try the top fans blowing IN, now this can be a heated topic, but on the HAF X I only have 1 exhaust, the 140 on the rear.
I also got a Corsair 4in3 cage and have a 120x38 fan on there so it provides cool air direct into the ram cpu also.
Also try to raise the case off the floor an inch or 2
If you can mod the side panel, to say a 200mm that'd be awesome
In the P4 day's I think I had the most trial and error of using fans on a Tt Xavier case.

Ended up getting the big HAF 932, but only because it sits inside a 300lb cherry desk, TBH it get's dusty too easy so it would be last on the list.....and the pantyhose thing is PITA LOL.

man
it's just....do you know physics?
it's got no sense to put my top fans IN cause when i play games(it's about 1000 rpm 140mm fans and 1200 rpm 120 mm fans) top of my case is realy warm(hot air comes top even w/o fans)
if i put those fans IN, i'll get higher temps
my problem is in VRM temps of VIDEOCARD
still my cpu temp in games is above 50-52°C, earlier it was 42-45°C( my card was 550ti)

forgot to mention:
1)my rig works 24*7*365
2)i live in realy calm and safe district(just the most silent district, especially at night)
3)4 fans are controlled with fan controller, 2 fans are controlled with mobo, so i get ABSOLUTELY silenced system in 2d mode, thats why i need so many fans(if i disconnect even 2 fans i got rising temps on gpu and it starts raising it own fans and i can hear it)
4)yeap, and i'm maniac of silence

PPS:
as far as i saw Obsidian Series 550D can pleasure me, but got no info with side fans in door: 2x 140mm fans can handle with my noctua nh-d14 in width?

Yep I know what your saying, but been there done that.
You did say you don't want to change the case, so that's what I'm trying to work with you on.;)

It's "over pressurization", instead of relying on negative pressure. Sure you got slow fans not moving air correctly, the heat will rise out the top:)
I'm running 24/7 also, at about 5 Ghz, thing is it's the mass of my old heatsink that takes care of removing the heat.
You need the second fan on that heatsink, what I'm trying for you to see is you cant have fan's undervolted to move the correct air in your situation.
I don't have fast loud fans either, my reference gfx blower cooler is loudest fan by far, But the BIG fans move more air quietly, so your limited to relying on the 140's to take care of it

You will probably need to swap the fans to quiet one like the S Flex or so many others.
There's a lot of high pressure quiet fans available to use at rated load
Either way, undervolting fans that are not capable of doing what you need just wont work out.

Sitting on the floor not going to help the bottom fan so try raising it up some, but TBH, it's too far away to help much
If the GPU vrm are getting that hot, try. A paper type duct to move that air up to the GPU will help
Like you said 80mm just don't cut it.
You will need to either have faster/higher pressure top fans, and same for the back, need's to be able to move more air, plus if you add a fan in the front top like under the DVD drive section that will add more cool air.
Hope your getting the jest of where were trying to get now :toast:

hmm 2 fans 60 CFM each and 1 fan 35 CFM is not enough?
i said
hot air comes top even w/o fans
cause of physics law(hot air always goes top)
i tried to get pressure up with top fans IN(1↑-1↓ and even 2↓) but it goes with worse results
and for a fan for noctua - hot air goes through heatsink and my results getting worse(about 3 degrees on cpu)
i said it is total silent when i want it(400rpm for 140 mm and 600 for 120mm)but when i need something not 2d fans are noticed
about 1000 rpm 140mm fans and 1200 rpm 120 mm fans
thats why i need a fan controller and msi control center: switch fans load 50%-100%
also i cant switch my 120mm fans to 140mm(back doesnt have bigger mounts and botom is limited with PSU)
also i tried getting 2nd fan at front(glacialtech 140mm and arctic cooling 120mm) - only 2 degrees change on cpu
also my case got about 2 cm upper the floor

Remember those fans are at RATED speed, ie 12v, so no way you're getting 1/2 of the air from them
At any rate, unless you run those at rated speed they wont work correctly.;)

Running the fans on top will push the air so that the back fan can remove it, but all 3 need to be at rated speed 12v. And the case must be closed up.
Sadly it's just the design of this case to find the correct fans to do what you're wanting, but it's NOT going to work with the CPU and GPU overclocked :banghead:

Download GPU-Z W1zzard made this program and it's really great for the GPU.
That OC on that card is going to run those temps up like that, so sadly for what your wanting, run it back to stock.

I never have had good luck with AIDA and used it for many years, it just don't read the sensors as good as proprietary software.
If those CPU temps get worse with BOTH top fans blowing IN, is that with the case sealed ?
Did you run both fans at the 12v?
Same with the back fan, did you run it at full 12v?

Again with the fans you have, they will need to run at rated 12v speed to help you any if your going to run CPU and GPU Overclocked, otherwise you need to run the system at Stock.

As for the nh-d14 and adding a second fan, something not quite right, were both fans the same ? You need to use the "Y" adapter to make sure both fans of same kind .
I suspect that the second fan you used blocked the proper air flow thru the NH14

Is this Z-11 case allow for 140mm fans also? [like z-11plus]

hmm
it's like we're living in parallel worlds)
Remember those fans are at RATED speed, ie 12v, so no way you're getting 1/2 of the air from them
srsly?
got this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811990008
also, as i mentioned, i use 50% of fans only in browsing(can't control them for 1/2 airflow-but thats not my point, i downrate rpm for absolutely silenced system in 2d)
for games and rest stuff i use all 6 fans at 100%
also, i dont use my CPU 4pin slot on mobo cause cant control it - runs at max speed always(using sys1 and sys2 4pin slots cause can control them 50%-100% even from WIndows)
That OC on that card is going to run those temps up like that, so sadly for what your wanting, run it back to stock.
i havent OC it, it's original clocks
by the way - my CPU is OC by msi default OC Genie
havent got any issues with that
case:
http://www.zalman.com/global/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=476
the difference is in front panel (usb 2.0x4 vs usb3.0x2+usb2.0x2) and in 1 additional led fan
rest is totaly same
as far as i'm not a big fan of leds(even hdd led and power led are offed) and i knew that zalman coolers are loud so i replaced them all(expt 2x80mm cause dont think it makes some difference)

half a year ago i had chinese psu(smthg like cheapest FSP)
my mobo was intel DH67BL(with box cooler)
my videocard was 550ti
rest is same
case was realy bad(only 1 fan - in back)
it was so f*cking loud and i wanted to upgrade something to bring my nerves back
i bought case, PSU(searched for low noise level PUs) and noctua(same thing)
then i realised that something goes not as i wanted(fans from zalman are REALY loud even in 7 volts)
as far as i saw themes and treads here in Russia i decided to change stock fans to smthg more efficient and quiet
i bought 3 arctic cooling f12 120mm to replace zalman sh*t(read that AC are silent in 600 rpm-bullsh*t, can hear it)
my old mobo had got only 2 3pin connectors for fans(zalman coolers use molex connectors), i replaced fans on top-back-front and used Y-connector from noctua(still thinking i dont need 2nd fan on CPU cooler - gave it to my sister)
after this modification i thought it's ok, but 1 fan broken and i had moneyback for it(cant buy new ones even now-always out of stock)
thats why i started to think about new mobo(with more fan connectors) and more efficient and quiet fans(more fans-low rpm in idle mode) so i stoped on msi-z77a-g45
choice was easy-thermalright TY-140,TY-141 and x-silent(noctua case coolers are too expensive)
after changing mobo and buying x-silent(out of stock with TY-140 and TY-141) i connected them and was surprised(only sys1 and sys2 fan slots were in bios to control)
thats my mistake and i decided to get fan controller
after this my system became silent in idle and efficient underload(yes, i switch modes every single time and thinking it's not that big deal for all the price and mistakes i've made)
then i started to think about changing my videocard(yeap, GTA V, almost ended it on xbox360 but wanna more grafics)
so i searched and searched(wanted to get gtx 760, then r9 290/290x(prices are between equal here) then gtx 970)
i decided to get gtx 970 but then our money became trash(about 75%loss)
so i searched again and got 280x for a very low price, thinking to switch it with r9 290/gtx 970 in 2-3 months when i get more money(sell it and buy a new one)
but now..i dont know-gaming in 1080p is exelent, all in ultra, no lags etc
i have heard about AMD drivers issues so i'll do my best to check out the possible harm to my system(dont want to use IGD grafics)
so i got 3 problems(1 is solved-AMD omega drivers updated also raptr/CCC and i got TOTAL freezes in 2d mode: 2-3 secs it's ok, but then it float for 15-20 secs, i had to system restore state to 1 day before)
2nd problem is in raptr(AMD analog of geforce experience)
by deafult it usualy gets smthg not on ultra(got no lags, stable fps every game(expt AC Unity-about 40 fps min and 55 avg))
3rd problem is i got only 1 year of warranty to videocard, so i decided to test all of its components
thats why i'm here
dont think i'm dumb or nub, so pls dont advice me GPUz, also have it and tested a lot(yeap, i OCed my 280x to 1170-1650 and it was stable) but vrm temps were much higher(98-102°C), but gpu was the hottest 72°C
aida also shows you CPU temps and chipset temps to see if smthg is wrong too, thats why i prefer aida
