I've got 2 x 1Gb of OCZ RAM at the moment. It's rated DDR400 3,3,3,8 and I've managed DDR450 3,3,3,5 with 1T. However, I'd like to get 2 x 1Gb of some DDR500 to be able to maximise my overclock.

So I'm after something rated DDR500 (PC4000) that will work on 1T on this board. Has anyone got some that they can recommend with this board. I don't want to pay Mushkin prices, I've seen OCZ gold DDR500 in UK for £160 and G Skill DDR500 for slightly cheaper - anyone tried these?

Unless your Mobo Is volt modded for Higher Vdimm the Pickens are Indeed slim to non-existent.

Polygon over at The Rebels Haven uses the GSkill...and Is quite happy with It........but he's Fully Volt Modded His board.

Check out the Volt Mod section over there If you haven't seen It yet.....Very Extensive collection of Volt Mods for our Board. :)

Good Luck.

~Edit~

Found THIS over at NewEgg.......Getting some Nice reviews at Stock voltage of 2.7(High for Us)...timings aren't the tightest....but the Clock speed Is sure nice to look at.

And the price Is very sweet Indeed.

Yep, that's the gskill kit that I was looking at, just a pity they don't ship to the UK - that's FAR cheaper than I can get it here. I haven't modded my board for vdimm yet as I wasn't sure how much my current ram would take. I've done the vcore mod to get my opteron 146 onto 1.55v, so I'm happy to volt mod for ram too if my ram will cope OK.

Lion, I am in a similar predicament to you and have actually decided to get another motherboard with better overclocking options, after the VCore voltmod all this modding is starting to get a bit tiresome!

Now I have done masses of research and I am going for the Gigabyte GA K8NF-9, its £54.60, on the 3 reviews I read it scored equal top outta loads of socket 939's with the DFI ultra D, it more or less matched it for overclcok options but was a faster board at stock, cost just over half the price and will take Dimmvoltage to 3.2. ohh and by the way VCore goes up to 1.75/1.85 so hopefully some more revvs outta my overclocked venice and its less picky with memory than the DFI's.

Mushkin have some excellent memory that exceeds whatyou want while remaining well within your budget. Mushkin 1GB DDR XP4400 Extreme Performance is one example, they are £130 from overclockers.co.uk, and if you only want PC4000 speeds these modules will run that with timings of 2.5-3-3-8 in the voltage range between 2.6-2.9v.

or if you specifically want 2GB there is the Mushkin 2GB DDR XP4000 Extreme Performance, offering good timings of 3-4-3-8 which can be got for £165, but some googling will mostlikely turn them up cheaper.
