Well, Asus has done it. They've lost all future business. The sabertooth boards are junk. They all randomly fail, it's so lovely. Mine was powered off for months and it died while off (seriously wtf).

So, if you have an old board laying around collecting dust that's not a pos ASUS, and it's not worth a lot of money to you, then I'm interested. Ideally, it would need to handle some OCing.

Thanks.

Just throwing this out there, I've very much liked all my ASRock boards. I have a 990FX Extreme 9 that's powered an overclocked 8350 for a long time without issues (although I think the CPU is dying now).

I have a 990FX Fatal1ty and Z97M Killer. They're great. I will only be buying Asrock from now on.
I've used multiple of the 970 extremes in builds and they're rock solid, too.

Microcenter has some nice boards for cheap (open box)...but not in my city LOL

Asrock was the Brand people mocked for being inexpensive and oddball ( their upgrade boards with mixed PCIx/AGP Slots and Duel DDR / DDR" Ram Slots )
Over the Years people have come to accept that they are still inexpensive But still quality and are in fact a Good Brand
my 2cents worth ( as a regular buyer of the brand from socket 478 onwards )

And to add insult to injury, it looks like the sacred DFI Lanparty gave up the ghost, today. It posts, but I get no video. She's from 2005 and has ran for many years.

You won't believe this. I take out of the lian li and she fires up

I guess board search is on hold. I only need it for testing/bluray burning, so as long as it working, I don't need another one, yet.

I guess I should delete the thread if she stays operational.

I have had my Crosshair V formula for years and beat the hell out of it with voltage and power draw without issue. It is one of the few boards I have not had to RMA.

Oh and fuck Asrock. I have yet to have one last not to even get into the ones I have dealt with that were bad out of the box.

Funny thing, AsRock was original a spin off from Asus to compete with Foxconn in OEM market. Pagatron now owns them which Asus is still a parent company to.
