low FPS HL2

    at 6xMASS and 16xAF i get a messly 70-120FPS why?

    its at 12x10 my max res, shouldnt it be better?

    Sounds pretty normal to me for a Nvidia card. It could be driver support since ATi's badge is on the game.

    id say it could be about right for your specs mainly the AMD 4200+ ,could be holding your card back a bit.

    i used to run a 4200+ 939 @2.6ghz and it was ok ,i didnt get huge fps in newish games.

    damn, ive seen cards like the 7900GTX do better on AMD systems than im doing and im certain i could wipe the floor with a 7900GTX

    measly 70-120fps? wtf? the human eye can't see the difference, so does it matter THAT much? Gaming performance will always vary across each different hardware config. If you're getting more than 35fps it's smooth, and after 60 the human eye can't tell the difference.

    lol yea its my CPU and i know it now, just installed fakefactory 1.12 and forced 16xQAA and 16xAF and didnt loose a single frame per second, wonder if a 7900GTX would though :D
