Relax man. You see, first you had 5445 with your CPu at 4 GHz, now you have 6789. What's your problem? Enjoy your games and forget about this benchmarking.

Don't remember exactly now, it was like just a few points under 6600 for stock and I think above 8000 at 4.6GHz.

Yes, turbo must kick in if you have it enabled.

Dont know exactly, have it set to +80 in afterburner. The thing is, since it is the Hawk edition, GPU-Z doesnt show the real voltage of the card.

Gpu-z shows 0.975v under load, so it could be 0.975+0.080=1.055v, but not sure. Will have to buy a multimeter and mesure it.

heky: you are lucky. my card isnt stable at 900mhz, 1087v, 1800mem.

during the benchmark, my system restarted.

i dont think its the PSU. because at 850mhz core, and 1025v, everything is very stable.

but at 1087v, how much PSU consumes power??? is it alot?????

damn your specs look very much like mine :D.

my psu is Silverstone Strider 560w. how do you rate it??? is it enough for my system???

The GTX460 with 1.087v consumes around 200W max, so i would say your PSU should be enough. What are the temps when you overclock it? You probably need better cooling, or you have reached the maximum your card can reach with that voltage.

What brand/model is it?

well, the temp would reach 74c while i play Deux game.

u mean that temp is the thermal limit and the card shuts down at that temp????

also, i overclocked my i5 2500k to 4.00ghz with the voltage of 1.240vcore so far its stable.

how further i can still overclock with that voltage?

With the card you have probably reached the maximim the card will do. But your 2500K can do a lot more. The only problem might be the cooling, the stock coolers are just crap. What temps do you get? Use realtemp to mesure them. Keep the temps under 80°C for the processor undr full load(prime95 or linx).

Regarding how far you can overclock with that voltage, it depends on the chip, each chip is different. Just try slowly upping the frequency step by step, testing stability inbetween. And always keep an eye on the temps! With good temps(aftermarket cooler) you can go as high as 4.5Ghz easy, usually with around 1.3v.

i cant afford any third party cooler right now. i plan to buy a CPU fan next month along with a DVD Writer but not now.

so for the time being, i would like to find out what would be the max clock for 1.24 or 1.25 vcore so that the temp dont rise greatly.

also do u think at 4.2 or 4.3ghz, i can still use the 1.24 or 1.25 vcore and still maintain stability???

also how would be the temp without increasing the vcore from 1.24 and still overclock it till 4.2 or 4.3ghz????

You have to test it, i cant just say a number, becouse every chip is different. Set the voltage to 1.25 and try the frequencies you want. As i said, test stability with prime95 or linx and keep an eye on the temps(dont go over 80°C undel full load) and you will be fine.
