So basically as the title suggests the pwoer consumption shown in GPU-Z as the % of the TDP of the card is always very low, around 30-35% under maximum stress like farcry 3 and MSI kombustor.. rig as shown in specs and 310.70 WHQL. I thought it might have been the beta drivers so I moved to WHQL with no change.

thoughts? could this be affecting my max oc which seems to be relatively low at right around 1200mhz max boost clock.

EDIT: I've had it show the max reading after running some MSI Kombustor

Why is it an issue? And based on this I wouldn't say the OC is "relatively low". It's smack in the middle.

    Unless you're having issues i wouldn't worry.

TDP is the heat output of a core, Themal Design Power. Its just the amount of total power consumption that is going to be "wasted" as heat to allow proper voltage control

It's just not what I expected to see, I'd have thought that overclocked it would end up somewhere between 100 and 120% but if it's not an issue thats good.

I do know what TDP is and what it stands for... still it appears to be incorrect.

Just needed a couple of opinions is all haha cheeeers

Is the card performing as it should? If it is then forget about what you're seeing.

    wolf says thanks.
