That's not a to bad price at all, how that sub hold up though ?. Were they making that much on them as their site says they were $1200 lol.

$170 seems much more reasonable for some one who wants to get in to HIFI.

i'm not sure. I have listened to the MartinLogan ESL series.

when I build a home theater I always buy a SVS, Rythmik, Epik, Velodyne, Revel, etc subwoofer

these are actually Energy Take Classic 5.1 (a Canadian company Klipsch owns) and really good value.

I should add.

Klipsch took Monoprice to court and won so that's why the new Monoprice 5.1 Home Theater System looks different. CNET reviewed the new one and liked it more than the old one.

So they should hehe... Although i think the mono sub if built right being lower to the ground give a better tone.
