Would this waterblock be enough for a quad? I was looking at some pictures on the internet and not only is the base not square, it looks pretty tiny...

LGA775 or 1366 would work. I have the 1366 version on two of my i7 920.

same - got one on my 1366 i7 - it's bigger than it looks in the pic, it covers the cpu and looks pretty good in a windowed case.
