Well that is one of the reasons some people buys the 6990, its the e-peen factor.
Same goes for cards likethe 8800 Ultra, some peeps just loves to brag about owning a $1000 card.
The 6990 isn't that overpriced given that it is new and is the fastest shit around for now.
I Re-thinked all for me. 2 Weeks choosing, googling VGA / FPS / Prices. And if i say that first of all i was looking for 200 euro price range and ended 600 euro price range.... Yea Sure Nvidia will come with at least 10% faster card or even with same price range. I just want to expirience something new fast / best once. After 1-2 years even if the games will became more eager to VGA, i will just add another one. But in one thing Nvidia will never beat ATI is the Price for it. And if ATI hire more Software spec's they will on the same level with Nvidia Drivers. :)
+ I saw Ati already accepting RMA for switching the bios.

GTX 590 22nd March... Wait for that to come out and check the price before doing anything.
I like AMD and Nvidia equally, however I do believe that nvidia has faster chips, which is why if I really want a high end card I'd buy nvidia... Like I did with my GTX 285 when it came out. (By the way is 600 euros about £500?)

However unfortunately nvidia knows this, that's why their prices are higher.

600.00 EUR = 520.806 GBP
Well i have 14 days to return the item w/o explaining anything . So 14 days is enough for me to make the difference and rethink again after i hold the 6990 and see the % that Nvidia is wining.

I'm not an nvidia fanboy, however I do think you should check that card out when it's released.
