I'm running UnRaid on this asus board with the 840 for my file server, and its sooooo nice. I know it's a bit overkill, but the system will be ready for whatever I throw at it in the future if I choose to run a different distro. The on-board chipset and LAN chip work flawlessly. I am getting on average 75MBps read and 70MBps write with a cache drive. I could not be happier.

That Phenom doesn't have L3 cache so it's basically an Athlon II X4 650, still great deal tho.

    U Jelly?

Well yes they constantly run combo deals for huge discounts when picked up. But it would be new, just like videocard discounts from newegg and such, they do them and have before, but cool if people post it.

It's not like newegg though. This particular deal, free mobo with certain AMD CPUs, has been at Microcenter for years. Kinda like the i7 920 deal that was at 230$ became the i7 930 at 230$. It basically is the same deal, nothing new.

MC has been the place to go for cheap AMD setups
