    That makes more sense but still, I don't believe it. Economics says their choice should be SATA, not SCSI, and 7200 RPM, not 10,000 RPM. It sounds very expensive too.

    I think this move is to prevent people from buying off the shelf hard drives to upgrade their old xbox hd instead of buying it from MS, since SCSI drives aren't that common.
