Mobos hate me.

Ok, so this morning I changed a few mobo settings so I could find the highest processor frequency my board can handle (cant remember exact name, the processor speed for AMD processors). Well I changed them, and my pc failed to boot. Reset the CMOS, and it failed to boot. Removed, the battery, failed to boot. By failed to boot I mean failed to POST. I'm planning to RMA monday, I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. I'll let it sit powerless tonight, but I bet it wont work. I figured that the 3 hours I let it sit during The Incrediables w/o power was enough.

Pull out the CMOS battery for about 20 minutes and see what happens.

Before you RMA take the battery out overnight and if its still dead then RMA it.

I remember that happening when I tried to overclock my Phenom to 3.1GHz. Let the computer sit for a while, then turn it off and cut power to it (Switch off the Power Supply and unplug the power cable at the power supply) Leave it like that for 30 minutes, then try and turn it on again.

ECS Motherboards are terrible. I've owned two ECS mobos and they both died.

I know it seems a stupid idea but it has worked for me, take out the ram, try to start it, switch off then put ur ram back in. I have had to do it a few times for my board, it boots up fine.

battery overnight failed. taking the ram out...i might try that. i've done all the other power tricks that I could think of. Thanks everyone, looks like I'll probabably RMA-ing the board unless the ram idea works.

You might have toasted something just changing random settings in there.
