Mod your VF900

After running some tests with the window open this winter I've found I can push my 8800GT further if I can cool it with something better than my VF700 (old cooler I know but keeps the card under 60C full load with 1.1V bios mod and overclocked). The Accelero S1 won't fit with my 250mm case side fan installed so I'm looking at the vf900. Here is the mod I've found for the vf900 to make it both quieter and/or more powerful with a stronger fan...

A vantec Tornado would move even more air. :laugh:

Of course a fan controller would be needed to keep the noise down on a 80mm 85cfm unit like this. :)

I have extra vantec tornado units lying around. ;)

If I didn't already have three high-speed 120mm fans in my case I would prob. mount one on this and see how it would do, I just don't think it'd be worth the extra dB's of adding a fourth. I've ordered a 36cfm 80mm (pretty standard) fan for this.... I like to have projects and since I'm still in an apt. the computer gets all the focus.
