does anyone know how to go about this?

strangely enough, my laptop detects the card as a HD5600/5700 series (it IS a renamed and slightly overclocked HD5650m, after all), and GPU-Z simply cannot save the BIOS at all. winflash does not even start.

sooo... nobody knows? i guess it's understandable, considering that it's a laptop.

failing that, is there a way to enable catalyst overdrive for laptops? maybe a registry tweak?

main problem is that AMD GPU clock tool does not auto adjust between low power and high power, nor does it switch properly for DXVA. so basically, the video card runs at max power at all times. i also don't know how well it plays with switchable graphics. would switching between intel integrated and the video card cause it to reset? or even worse, cause errors?
