Motherboard choice ?!

Hello all... the next week i want to make a 2nd PC for me, and i have to choose between 3 mobos for Phenom II 965 CPU (or FX-4170)... the choices are between this 3:

1. ASUS Crosshair IV Formula 890FX
2. Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
3. MSI 890FXA-GD70

Other components are :AMD Phenom II X4 965 (or maybe FX-4170) , 2x MSI 7870 HAWK GPU , 2x8Gb 1600Mhz DDR3, 120Gb SSD + 2Tb HDD, Corsair 850W PSU and a 27" LG LED TV...

Or maybe go with FM2+ socket... like Gigabyte F2A85X-UP4 paired with A8-6600K ???

If you are going to go AM3+, I'd get the Gigabyte board because of the newer chipset.

From that list I'd personally go for the GA 990FXA UD3 as it gives you a better option to upgrade to the Vishera FX chips if you so choose. They're decent boards (I currently have the UD7 for another build I'm currently making).

Yet you don't even try to justify your choice. It's all well and good saying "oh yes this is best", what's the reasoning exactly?

Stef id go with a vishera core. But the 990F
X chipset fixed many problems that the 890 had.

@ThE_MaD_ShOt has a GA board he can inform you better on them.

I actually have three of them running. It is my favorite am3+ board. Syable as a rock and does a great job ocing my 8350's. Also I ran my 1055t in one for awhile and was able to get get much higher overclocks them with my 890 board. I vote ud3 all the way

I bought an FX 41** ..ran it for 2 days..
said.."oh no,this is not getting it"
ripped it out and threw Ye Olde Deneb back in..
ahhh..much better :cool:

So true. You can get a 965BE to get a 5 in Cinebench R11.5 no problem but getting above a 4 on a FX4*** is hell
