Hey !
I'm thinking of buying a new video card, but keeping my case, motherboard etc..
Right now i have Gigabyte GA-P31-ES3G and a 500W power supply. Would i be able to run [ASUS GTX 560 TI DirectCU II Overclocked] video card with this motherboard and PSU?
Thanks in advance !

Some specifications of the video card.
The one i was running before was hd 4870 1GB.

To give you the best answer tell us the make and model of that 500w PSU. The reason is that according to the ASUS website that GTX 560Ti DCU can draw up to 225 watts

so it depends on how many amps you have available on the +12V rail and the quality of your PSU.

It states having two PCI-e 6-pin connectors. You should be ok. :toast:

What OS are you on? What's the rest of your system look like? An old P31 chipset might not be a hi performer, so don't expect to get what everyone else is if you have an old chipset, older dual core cpu and 2GB of ram and a PCI-e Gen 1 interface. But it should still perform pretty well with all that said.

Yeah, you should be ok. You've got 36 amps between the two rails for about 430 watts. Enjoy that 560Ti. I had one (not as nice as the Asus DCU) and it was a great card.
