I was holding out for Titan, but decided to play around with 680 Lightning SLI for similar coin. I grabbed one Lighting at a good price and took a gamble that the Power Edition would accept Lightning BIOS flashes.

Well it did, and I'm I'm running them with LN2 BIOS in SLI. They boost to 1203 or so, fine for now with OC room later. Thought I'd post that the Power Edition has two working BIOS(s) like the Lightning. MSI simply installed the downclocked BIOS on both.

GPU-Z ASIC Quality:
Lightning - 73%
Power Edition - 71%

Nice! I just bought one of the PE GTX680, and it's by far the best graphics card I've bought to date. I'm running mine easily @ 1100 and it pushes 3x 22" 1680x1050 monitors in surround sound great. Other than the default clocks being higher, what's the biggest reason for flashing over just overclocking? I may try to flash mine if it's that much better. :toast:

Thanks! Yea I've wanted a Lightning card for some time. I mainly flashed the PE to get Lightning stock clocks:

N680 PE: 1019MHz base, 1084MHz boost
680 Lightning: 1111MHz base, 1176MHz boost

The older GTX 680 Lightning BIOS gives you voltage control over MSI AB, Nvidia forced MSI to step down and change the BIOS on newer SKUs so you could not overvoltage your GPU.

I may load this bios as well then. Thank :toast:
