    Hey guys,

I'm trying to volt mod my MSI 8600GT Heatpipe card. This is the one I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127293. It's the same board and layout as this one: http://www.vr-zone.com/articles/First_Look_at_Overclocking_the_8600GT%21/4925-4.html. Now my question is, I tried volt modding it using a pencil and I checked the Ohms and such, but when I test the card in ATiTool it artifacts like crazy even at stock clocks. My PSU is more than enough for the card. Currently I undid the volt mod and have the card running at its max overclock without artifacts. The card never goes about 50C load so I know theres a lot more to be had with this card if I volt mod it. Does anyone have experience with this card or the one volt modded in that link? Any advice you can give me? I currently pull a little over 10k 3DMarks in 3DMark05 with it. I have a feeling volt modding it will yield like 12k.

    Thanks,

I think I might actually try the variable resistor method...
