    Ok I have a gigabyte hd 6850 and I'm trying to overclock it.

    I've downloaded MSI afterburner and obviously due to overdrive the max core clock is limited to 850mhz.

    Now my problem is that I've tried the CFG edit to unlock unofficial overclocking but when I try to save it tells me access is denied. This is how I've tried to edit the CFG file:

    UnofficialOverclockingEULA = I confirm that I am aware of unofficial overclocking limitations and fully understand that MSI will not provide me any support on it
    UnofficialOverclockingMode = 1

    Is there anything wrong with my edit?? Or could there be another problem?

    Have you unchecked "read only"?

    Yeah I've unchecked read only. So no ideas why it would do this.
    Cheers for the reply though mate.
