Is it just me or did they miss out with the omission of a HDMI output? i know you can use a DVI to HDMI converter but that does not allow the converted DMI signal to carry sound does it.

Because that computer, with a HDMI output is relay close to a ideal HTPC in my book, a powerful enough CPU and GPU in a passive box with a small SSD for OS and the movies, series and music stored somewhere else on a server, heck it even has dual gigabit lan, so you can use teaming and get 250 MiB/s transfer speeds, which should be adequate for the foreseeable future, and beyond.

It has 2 Display Ports which are capable of audio as well, if you have a 4K screen that runs at 60Hz, DP does that too.
If your monitor or TV only has HDMI, you can use an adapter from DP to HDMI.

Someone has to make the first move with including only DP port(s) and zero HDMI port(s).

These look like they would be perfect for running a PVR client but the omission of an HDMI port really nerfs that idea. Someone at MSI ought to be facepalming.
