Hi,

I'm trying to extended my Win 7 64-bit desktop from my TFT to my LCD TV. I want to connect the TV via HDMI to get the digital sound.

Here's the situation:

1) If both devices are connected to the two DVI ports of the video card, extending and cloning works fine.
2) BUT if either one is connected to either of the DVI ports and the other to the HDMI port, extending or cloning won't work. Windows recognizes both displays but if I try to extend/clone the desktop, windows gives an error message: "Unable to save display settings." Catalyst Control Center (Catalyst 11.2) won't allow extending either even though it too recognizes both displays.

How do I get the dual monitor setup to work using HDMI? Is there something I'm missing since it shouldn't be that hard with just two displays, right?
