Hi I am about to build my first PC, I understand about how to build the components together, about ESD safety, and generally get the process...
What I don't understand fully is the ins and outs of a BIOS/UEFI. I do not need to know anything about over clocking, just general advise on settings I may need and any really useful tech tips.
I will be installing windows 7 (or windows 8.1 if I can convince the lady that I need it) & really just don't know how to get from complete build - to safe steps to take in BIOS - to actually running windows on a PC that works and is stable.
I have
MSI z87 gaming motherboard,
i5 4570 & stock fan,
2x4GB corsair vengeance LP ram,
Cs550m PSU,
Crucial mx100 256GB SSD
1 TB western digital black edition HDD
x3 fans on a fan controller,
x1 LED fan not on the controller.
