They do, thus far. TPU even did a review on it I think. It needs a supported DX12 game though, which right now basically means JUST Ashes of the Singularity.

AMD used to or turned a Blind Eye in the past for people that wanted to use a Nvidia card for Physics. ( on pre W10 systems
Then Nvidia Blocked it at Driver level rendering such card combinations useless

for the Future DX12 ( and Higher when it comes ) is Supposed to Allow this as R-T-B says
above

( Don't get your hopes up those two will do their damm best to make you use two or more of their BRAND rather than allowing you to mix Brands )

It already does. It's just incredibly limited in implementation.

And of course as you pointed out, I wouldn't be surprised if the camps find some way to make it better to have two of the same cards... some exclusive tech or something that everyone must have...

I doubt they'll actually break it, lest they incur the wrath of Microsoft. But I would not be surprised if they find a way to render it worthless or inferior somehow.

yes hybrid physx has been around but this just used nvidia as purely physx. and wondering if there are more news about multi gpu under win 10

the reason i ask is i have 750ti and r9 290 lying around. but have to dismantle many things and not so much time at the moment. there are already dx12 patches and looking to play rise of tomb raider if got time this weekend.

I'm pretty sure DX12 relies on the developer to implement the multi-gpu, and sadly only AoTS has it as of now.

Although come to think of it. If dx12 gives this opportunity to use 2 totally different cards to work together is a cool feature

question is would it work same for other DX12 games and with similar performance as AoTS or not quite. any idea when other DX12 games are coming out? I'd like to see a comparison of those and look into this DX12 feature a bit more

Isn't it that AMD/NVIDIA+Intel HD Graphics also possible with Multi Adapter? I think it was from a GDC or other event presentation long ago where it adds some benefits (albeit only few FPS increase).
Lot's of users have Intel CPUs integrated graphics sitting idle since they use discrete graphic cards (probably just Haswell and above though, as they are the only ones that support DX12 feature level_11)

Well.
I've researched a bit about the DX12 and Nvidia states that DX12 is supported from Fermi GPU's which means 460 is supporting the DX12 but not in the highest level and not all of the DX12 feature will be available with the Fermi based GPU.

the original testing was Nvidia + intel IGP, seeing ~10% gains. Definitely going to be popular, considering how common intel/AMD IGP's are.

I doubt AMD and NVidia like the idea of mixing GPUs this way . I know 2 or 3 games only which support DirectX 12 . So no much hope for this .
