Multiplayer Space Survival Horror Game

Thats the kind of game I want to play, but imagine it as a fusion of Dead Space, TF2 and L4D. The Horror environment of Dead Space, with the Class attribute brought by TF2 with a taste of the Co op brought by L4D. Each of the six in the party are their own class and if one fails the struggle for survival gets harder and harder due to lack of that players special ability (Like Hacking Computers, Unlocking Doors, Weapon Skill, Strength, smarts or engineering). I think this would be tons of fun and playing with other players just adds depth instead of it being NPC's. I await such a game... :ohwell:

Space seems to be a come and go subject for developers. Shattered Horizon could be a good game if there was about 100% more content. Clearly, there aren't enough good space games. I'm still waiting for a new Wing Commander. :ohwell:

I agree, the environment and idea our superb but game play wise they failed IMO. It was their first attempt at making a game and if its your first time I understand why you would make an FPS your first one but I hope they improve on it and don't make a game as dull as this one again.

the Natural Selection mod for half life/counterstrike (cant remember which it was, they were basically the same anyway) sounds like just what u want.

Thanks but its still not the same. I want environments like that of Dead Space or better and the Aliens would be able to destroy doors and damage vital equipment at random each time in real time forcing the player to go on that area of the ship to repair whats been damaged.

Eve is far from dead, it's still growing, just a while ago they had a new record of 54k users online at one time (that is one server, not spread out on 10-20 like other mmorpgs

)( when i stopped playing they had like max 100k active accounts). Still, I find it boring except for the PvP, feels like a huge spreadsheet.

I came to think of an old game that was almost like you said and probably as close as you're gonna get: System Shock 2, It rocked :rockout:

in single-player and rocked in co-op, although it was a bit buggy

When i looked about 2 hours ago it was still Internet spaceships+Spreadsheets.

I figured it was obvious he was just talking about the space aspect.

Ive thought about trying Eve online, not sure what to expect tho. Any eve players?

Yea i have played Eve Online for the past 4 years, its hard to really say anything about this game because either someone likes it or they hate it. So its really best to try for yourself. If you want a 21day trail drop me a PM with your e-mail and I'll get one out to you.
