[WTB] My budget want list.

Looking for a few misc. items to start rebuilding my system. I fell on hard time for awhile money wise and had to sell off most all of my rigs and extra components. It was my rigs or my guns. Guess who lost? Im starting to rebuild after moving for a new job and such. Right now Im working on getting my gamer back up to par. My poor old X2 5000 is all I have to run right now.

Seeking these components:
- Athlon II or Phenom II CPU (must be 95w or under due to the limitations of my current mobo)
- SATA HDD (nothing real large. maybe 250 to 500GB) - FOUND thanks to theonedub
- Mid range AM2/AM3 CPU cooler (will be cooling a lower wattage CPU) - FOUND
More will be added once I can afford to do so.

That's actually a very good cooler, however it's identical to sneekypeet's SilenX cooler. There are many variations of this cooler floating on the market, the most famous being the black nickel-plated version from Spire.

Well if you could suffer with an IDE drive, I still have my 300GB Barracuda that worked well when it was pulled.

If you don't mind it shipping in a small flat rate with as much bubble wrap and peanuts the box will hold its yours at no cost, just let me know :toast:

Oh, I would also have no issue covering about $10 towards the purchase of Sneekys SilenX cooler if you want to go that route.

I would be more than happy with your Barracuda. I am really on a budget for the next few weeks to a month. Moving and starting a new job is quite expensive to say the least. It will used for storage so speed really isnt an issue. I just need to free up some space on my 150GB VelociRaptor for my games from steam. I will shoot you a pm when I get a free moment. I got a Phenom II cooler from a buddy, so that will do for now. Still looking for a CPU. A Regor X2 would be ideal, or possibly a PhII 8xx series. :toast:

Yep Kant - it seems to have been renamed and increased in price from when I reviewed it. Funny when it was released the MSRP was 29.99

Hogan, I'd be happy to pick up an x2 250 from Microcenter here in Houston for you --- they are going for 60$ new - so, with tax you are looking at $67.00 -- I'll cover the shipping if you are interested..

I remember it, I saw it a while ago when I was doing research on the 3Rsystem Iceage 120 Boss II heatsink, another variation. It was actually on sale @ XTremeGear's website for $20 + $10 shipping. Couple months later it was like $49.99. :wtf:

All boxed up and ready to go, as long as you get me your address before 10pm tonight I will have it off tomorrow. It was a tight fit in the small flat rate, but I packed it with a bunch of peanuts
