this is a re post of my work log its near completed...

hello welcome to my acrylic MODS topic

below is the stock image of the sunbeam acrylic II case..pretty boring and not efficient at all for a overclocker gaming rig.

    parts picture etc etc below

    finally got the holes cut

    4 1/2 hole saw with a 1/4 "pilot bit"
tape measure, sharpie, a few drill bits depending on what size holes ya need drilled for fan screws etc etc
screw driver and of course youl need a drill,
please note! that this mod was done with a cordless dewalt drill nothing fancy in fact i had to charge the battery 3 times.
u can use a hole saw with a cordless drill and it come out perfect. so don't believe the bs people are saying about using a hole saw and cordless its crap.
i do agree a corded cheep drill would have been better because constant power always kicks ass over any 18 v drill..
enough of that anyway, you can use a cordless but expect to charge it a few times depending on how many holes.
    step 1
    buy acrylic and tools needed
    step 2
    measure it all out twice
    step 3
drill all holes in one sitting
    step 4
    screw in the door

    there metal dust grill filters..
    and they work awesome..
all i ever have to do is wipe the out side of them, and it comes right off..
no big fussing with tearing stuff apart..
they keep my case clean man...very clean..
i also have honeycomb grill that i dont even use because i like this look much better.

    -----------------

its coming together nicely..i have do some hot glue work...
I'm seriously considering cutting the box down with a bandsaw...
they sent me a 2.5 in deep box and i wanted 1in..
its a little thick...sigh..well..im going to test it out first..as many leds going in it..i mite need all that room for wires..

and so on with the pics...

please note this is not the product it has a long way to go..
all the leds need to be straightened as well as rewired inside the box..this is just to test out my led box theory..i had to satisfy my curiosity to see what it looks like..
    ill finish it soon..maybe tonight...not sure...thanks..
