this is a re post of my work log its near completed... hello welcome to my acrylic MODS topic below is the stock image of the sunbeam acrylic II case..pretty boring and not efficient at all for a overclocker gaming rig. parts picture etc etc below finally got the holes cut new 4 1/2 hole saw with a 1/4 "pilot bit" tape measure, sharpie, a few drill bits depending on what size holes ya need drilled for fan screws etc etc screw driver and of course youl need a drill, please note! that this mod was done with a cordless dewalt drill nothing fancy in fact i had to charge the battery 3 times. u can use a hole saw with a cordless drill and it come out perfect. so don't believe the bs people are saying about using a hole saw and cordless its crap. i do agree a corded cheep drill would have been better because constant power always kicks ass over any 18 v drill.. enough of that anyway, you can use a cordless but expect to charge it a few times depending on how many holes. step 1 buy acrylic and tools needed step 2 measure it all out twice step 3 drill all holes in one sitting step 4 screw in the door ----------------------------------------- I'm considering this new switch http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8...ing_-_Ring_Illumination.html?tl=g44c153#blank ..good power switch for the on off button.. this is what they look like without led on http://www.mnpctech.com/BulginSwitchPlate2.gif here's the finals until i build another... and i was right this is look sexy..aside from the crack... its nice to see my idea accomplished ... ok so here's the pics of the switch sry been busy... god the wires are a mess right now..i have to find time to fix that... latest update!!!!!!!!! ok so i got the parts..everything is looking cool..pics show so far.. waiting on led fans now and the top blow hole grill etc etc.. need to move and re drill the holes to make it center.. i still have a lot of work to do but for now were getting there.. little update is better then none i suppose.. ill be building a mother board tray so i can hide my wires this week also.. stay tuned.. after 4 hours of wire clean up and a complete rebuild to hide everything and remount hdds.. she looks very clean now.. added new lights and grills complete... waiting on led fans for release for xigmatek... still have to finish polishing up my fan controller mount and custom knob.. new hdd side door mount looks awesome and they run real cool next to those 120mm fans.. update 1.7.2010 removed cathode crap lighting, build new rheostat full fan control, waiting on more parts for custom led lighting. feel free to comment on my work log here..
