I wouldn't compare to Crysis! Do you have Unreal 3? If so use this benchmark, it's one of the best in game benchmarks. You must have Unreal 3 install.

UT3 Benchmark

Even if he does, we need to find out whats wrong with his 3DMark score. Giving up is NOT AN OPTION.

Thats definately your power delivery's fault.... PSU is to weak(low amps on the 12V rail), or maybe just a wiring issue.

Yeah I barbaric may have been right, power could be the issue. What's really perplexing to me is your saying you score roughly the same on 3dmark06 and vantage, and that just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Not giving, just narrow his options. ;) Cause it could me 3dmark, If it's a new build. Do you have all the 3dmark updates? The lastest opengl patch?<- This has saved a few people in the past.

This is still my thinking also. The GX2 is a beast when it comes to power consumption(remember it has two 8800 gts gen92 gpu's on it).

Can you look on the side of your psu, there will be a table there. Look at the numbers under the columns for 12V, and tell us what the A are for each (if more than one).

OK after a quick read of this thread I have to agree with BarbaricSoul.

Shaw PSU's are BAD!!!

As an Australian I know of them. go through the Whilrpool forums (www.whirlpool.net.au) and read all about it. Take it out ASAP before it blows your PC up.

Dont bother reading the values on the side...they are all overrated POS's. The 860W probably equals 200W of "real" power.

It's gotta be his PSU then, did a little research. Those PSU's one doesn't really have a offical website. So that should say something.

You really think it's that bad? I mean, I know some psu's can go under what they're rated for, but that much under seems bad enough to get sued over. Unstable and around 750w seems reasonable, but under that........... I don't see how they could get away w/ that.

Na man im sure of it. This is a very ignorant statement...but I would have to say they are the worst PSU manufacturer.

They always blow up :p lol...

Just a FYI...that 860W Tri fan beast costs a whole $27...

I generally like and use generic PSU's on a budget build...but would never use a SHAW. Not even to power a P2 :p.

Well your temps are certainly fine. Looks like psu is the culprit indeed (you win the bet barbaric :D), get the aussies to direct you to a good one, and call the person you bought that from and tell them where to go.

You can only get them from one store in all of Oz, and the reason they sell is because they are cheap and if you dont do your research...your gone.

I dont even know how they can sell them for $27...the fans and casing would almost cost that lol.

Anywho, i'd say you shop at MSY if you got that SHAW. If so, I would recommend a 600W Toughpower ($147) or 650W CM eXtreme ($97).

I'm the 1st one to think about the PSU. It's looking like the PSU is the culprit. Yet I think I'm the only one in this thread that hasn't gotten a thank you.:shadedshu
