    Maybe, but the board he bought has an LGA775 socket, not an AM2, so that one wont work with the CPU he's got anyway.

    so i guess that means my motherboard isnt capable of doing crossfire?

    I am not sure but I think it will probably need some hacked drivers too<-hard to find

    But don't listn to me,I am not that sure:p

    My rule of thumb for things like this:
    CROSSFIRE: ATi north bridge
    SLI: nVidia chipset (650i, 680i...)

    no. the only north bridges capable of both are the intel p965 and 975x, and even then it's board specific.

    Nvidia chipsets only can use Geforce SLi just like ATI Chipset are only Crossfire because your board has a nvidia chipset is not Compatible with ATI crossfire
